Money play. Should Red redouble? If redoubled, should White take?
If Red didn’t have so many blot-leaving numbers this would be an easy redouble and pass. However Red has 24 numbers that leave a blot and White that blot will hit roughly 8 times.
It is further complicated by the fact that Red might have 3, 4 or 5 checkers left on the board when he is hit and will win some games even after he is hit.
Also, the race is not yet dead for White. A big double will keep his hopes alive. Finally, Red may yet make use of the cube to win the game.
Let’s say White wins 6 of the games after he hits. If we further give him 3 racing wins then you can see this position is right on the borderline.
The rollouts show this to be a monster redouble but also a close but correct take
